Unique Signs For Marketing: Out-Of-The-Box Business Signs

When you look at commercial signage, you find that many of them look the same. They're crafted from the same materials, they use much of the same lighting, and they all kind of run together. I decided that there had to be a better way to market a business. That's when I started looking into how to do custom signs made from things like hand-crafted metal, reclaimed wood, and similar types of materials. I created this site to share my signage and marketing tips that I've learned in the hopes that other business owners will see how easy it is to step outside the box.

Critical Details To Include On Your Gym Sign

by Jordan Lopez

Virtually every gym has a large, visible sign outside of its location that people can see as they pass. Signage can often be helpful for drawing people to your gym. Someone may be sitting in traffic and see your sign through their window, assess the details on it, and think about becoming a member. While a stylish and easy-to-read sign design will be important, it's also imperative that you ensure a handful of details are on the sign. Here are some details about your gym that should be visible.

Pricing

Some people might be interested in joining your gym but worry that the monthly membership could be too much for their budget. It's a good idea to include some basic pricing information on your sign, especially if you feel that your rates are very competitive. For example, if your sign includes wording such as "Monthly Rates From $29," a lot of people will feel that joining your gym will suit their budget. Pricing incentives, such as one month for free upon buying a membership, should also appear on your sign.

Hours

The hours of operation of a gym are something that any prospective member will take into account. While some gyms operate with standard daytime hours, others are open late into the evening. Some gyms are even accessible 24 hours a day for their members, which can be a big selling point. If you're particularly proud of the hours that you offer and you think that sharing this detail will entice people to check you out, make sure to include some hour-related details on your sign. For example, wording such as "Open Until 10 p.m." will be appealing to people who are busy during the day but like the idea of working out late in the evening.

Personal Training

Gyms have different approaches to personal training. There are some gyms that don't have personal trainers on staff, but allow members to visit with their own private trainers. Other gyms have a staff of personal trainers who can work with members. Certain membership levels at these gyms even include one or more personal training sessions per month. Consider your approach to personal training, and then share some details on your sign if you feel that this information would be appealing to would-be members. For example, if you have more than 10 trainers on staff, this is definitely a detail to feature on your sign. Discuss these important details with your custom sign company.
